In partnership with the World Triathlon Corporation, the management of Ironman 70.3 Buffalo Springs Lake is proud to announce the Second Annual Ironman 70.3 U.S. Handcycle Championship to be held on June 26, 2011. The event will take place in the scenic Buffalo Springs Lake, Lubbock, Texas, also host to the well-known Ironman 70.3 Buffalo Springs Lake. The event has served as the world qualifier for handcyclists wishing to compete in the Ford Ironman World Championship for the past 14 years. Handcyclists will continue to have the opportunity to qualify for the race, which takes place each October in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. They will also continue to have the opportunity to qualify for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Las Vegas.

The Challenged Athletes Foundation® is proud to offer twenty complimentary entries into this year’s Ironman® 70.3 Handcycle Championship race.  For more information, please contact Jill Prichard at jill@challengedathletes.org

  1. HC division specific race course talk
  2. HC division specific equipment rules
  3. HC division special packet pick up meeting
  4. Buffalo Springs Lake open water swim clinic

BUFFALO SPRINGS LAKE IRONMAN 70.3 will provide each HC athlete with:

  1. VIP parking passes
  2. Special "size specific" individual transition area spaces for each athlete assigned by Race Number
  3. Two handlers assigned to each athlete
